Ruchika has been a writer and amateur photographer for about six years, an obsessive chocoholic since childhood, owner of a chocolaterie for two years, an occasional baker for a year, a dancer since adolescence, a TV show addict for three years and most of all, a happy traveller since the day she hopped into the general compartment of the Kanyakumari Express on an RAC ticket. Her work has been published in Mumbai Mirror, CNNGo.com, and iDiva; and she is one of the contributing writers of Outlook Traveller Getaways’ book Driving Holidays in India—the recipient of the National Tourism Award 2008-2009 for Best Travel Publication in English. After attending the glamorous Golden Globes this year, she is currently enjoying the perks of being a free bird.
