"Ana Mandara is a beautiful place with character. It is plush but not ostentatious. It is situated on a hill, a short taxi ride from downtown Dalat and a walkable distance for most. We went there in Dec 2011, even though the weather was cold and rainy, we still had a lovely stay. My mother who is in her 80's, could not walk too much but enjoyed visiting the restaurant, or sitting by the fireplace in the villa. The hotel has a lush green surrounding, very pleasant to be looking out to see nature all around you. The villas themselves are absolutely delightful. The 4 of us rented a whole villa, there are two bedrooms on the main floor, my husband and I stayed in the huge bedroom in the lower floor.

It reminded us of a mini-chateau we saw in France. The staff is attentive and friendly, they lit the fireplace for us more than once and were helpful in many ways. The buffet breakfast offers Asian and Western food, is quite a spread, with many homemade and organic products like yogurt and jam. From the hotel, my husband and I walked to town, we passed shops, a police station, a hospital, and a school with students smiling and speaking English like "hello" to us. That kind of exchange made us feel so welcome in spite of all the language and cultural differences." Pui Wong, Brooklyn, New York

"Wow! We found these well restored 1920's and 30's French colonial-style villas to be so unique, we wondered whether there is anything else like this resort 'suburb' in the world. That's what it was like - an attractive olde-worlde Frech-colonial rural suburb - heavily wooded - and I guess that it is what it once was. Each of the villas offers several large, attractively decorated but private suites within. All similar but different. We had our own large bedroom, huge bathroom, with separate sitting room. Additional to this was an attractively decorated communal lounge, and dining and kitchen areas within the villa but they appeared to be little used as there is really no need for one to leave their suite."  Happy TravelsQld, Surfers Paradise, Australia
