Bon Ton Resort

Exclusive antique villa resort

Beach Luxury Villa
Pantai Cenang, Pulau Langkawi, Malaysia
1 Bedroom, sleeps 2
1 Bathroom

From USD $250

Bon Ton Resort Langkawi is one of the island’s most stylish, unique and intimate resorts, with eight antique Malay villas. Nam Restaurant at Bon Ton is also regarded as one of the best on the island. Everything here is perfectly timed. Rick Stein is a noisy fan of the prawn and pineapple curries. There’s no beach, but who needs one when views across the lagoon encompass egrets, herons and the odd sea-eagle, the peak of Mount Mat Cincang on the horizon and the most perfect sunset you’ll ever see.

Bon Ton Resort

This 100-year old property is nestled within a former coconut plantation and offers 8 individually-designed boutique villas. Featuring an outdoor pool and free Wi-Fi, it is a 5-minute drive from Pantai Cenang Beach.

Rooms are built around the resort’s pool and lotus lagoon. They are all equipped with a CD/DVD player, a tea and coffee maker, fridge and toaster. Some rooms have a bathtub on their private patios.

For a quiet afternoon indoors, guests can relax and enjoy a good read in the resort’s library. Laundry services and luggage storage are provided for convenience.

Bon Ton Resort is a 10-minute drive from Langkawi International Airport.

There are 8 exclusive and pivate 100 year old villas to choose from, all of which face the lagoon and pool. All are equipped with ceiling fans and air conditioning.

Villas sleep 2 persons, 2/3 persons, or up to 5 persons, depending on choice of villa.

Offering fusion food is the resort’s Nam Restaurant. The resort also provides a secluded Malay house overlooking the lagoon for a private fine dining experience. Liqueur flavoured coffees are available at the Chin Chin Bar.

An exotic fusion of Western and Eastern gourmet cuisine with Asian spices providing a variety of tastes for every palate. Regarded as one of the best restaurants on the island, it is a truly special dining experience.

Restaurant hours are from 11 am to 11 pm offering a different menu for lunch and dinner.

Library, Outdoor Swimming Pool (all year).

Wi-fi is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge.

Laundry, Breakfast in the Room, Souvenirs/Gift Shop Nam.

"This resort was so relaxing! No TV, no party animals, just some friendly little kitties to make the place feel like being in someone's home. The lack of beach was not an issue for us as the gorgeous tropical surrounds of the hotel and pool were much more pleasant than a crowded tourist beach. We were upgraded to "Silk" but any of the cottages would have delighted us. We particularly liked the open air bathroom. We had our own "resident" cat but others also visited. All the cats were well behaved and would pose no problem for those who were indifferent to cats. The resort had a reasonable DVD library and a book library and the restaurant provided a good choice of food.(It was there that we discovered heavenly Gula Malacca icecream!) To see the island and visit the waterfalls and some of the better beaches, a car is essential. Tip- arrange car hire through the resort. Prices were better than elsewhere and cars were delivered for no extra."  TrainLovers2, Perth, Australia

"Extraordinary attention to detail, knock out cuisine; perfectly restored historical buildings, filled with appropriate but also indulgent and comfortable antique furniture; great service and friendly cats wondering about: what more could you want? The kind of boutique experience still very rare in Malaysia but which the discerning traveller who rather have a customized experience with a handful of like-minded travelers; than a cookie cutter 5-star resort with 1000s of rooms - increasingly demands.

Our only - unresolvable - quibble: is that it would be perfect if it was on or even just near the beach. Langkawi has great beaches and water sports, and it was frustrating having to cab or drive every time we wanted to get to one. We'd recommend splitting a Langkawi visit between Bon Ton and one of the beach resorts." ARVD, London, UK
