A small modern establishment set in Davao’s downtown area, Casa Leticia Boutique Hotel is an inexpensive but comfortable haunt for travelers seeking to explore Davao City’s urban charms.
To explore Davao City’s shopping and nightlife, you’ll need a jump-off point right in the thick of the action, and Casa Leticia Boutique Hotel delivers: its location next to the People’s Park and a few minutes’ walk from Gaisano Ilustre shopping mall makes this boutique hotel an ideal haunt for city travelers and business-minded guests.
The Casa Leticia’s rooms offer basic business-class services at a low price point: comfortable, compact rooms with the usual accoutrements, free WiFi, and breakfast at the lobby-level Sagay restaurant can be yours. A number of rooms overlook the street and the People’s Park, but guests must make a trade-off between having a well-lit room and experiencing the ambient noise from the busy street below.
The dining is exceptionally good at Casa Leticia: Sagay at the lobby level serves the breakfast buffet and an ala carte menu inspired by the proprietor’s roots in the Philippine province of Iloilo. Next door, Tsuru serves traditional Japanese fare, with a monthly buffet that allows diners to gorge on a number of Eastern favorites. The Japanese buffet even serves a whole tuna fish, from which a master chef skillfully slices sashimi while you wait.
All rooms are equipped with standard amenities, LCD flat screen TV, hot and cold shower, refrigerated mini bar, complete set of toiletries, clean Duvet beds and linens, electronic door lock system, multi-function telephone system and free wifi internet access. Evening turndown service, complimentary bottled water and newspaper are also included.
Studio: Compact accomodations with a single bed, designed for budget business travelers.
Superior: Size fits one queen-sized bed or two single-beds.
Deluxe: Sizable enough for one queen-sized bed; room overlooks the street and the People's Park.
Executive Suite: Business-class comfort with the addition of a walk-out balcony overlooking the street and the People's Park.
Presidential Suite: Provides a four-window panorama overlooking the street and the People's Park, along with a walk-out balcony for a better view.
The eating on the premises is actually quite good, judging from the two restaurants on site.
Sagay Restaurant serves “Ilonggo” cuisine (from the island of Negros in the Philippines), while the next-door Tsuru Restaurant serves Japanese cuisine, culminating in a once-a-month Japanese buffet.
With an eye towards business-minded travelers, Casa Leticia offers business services like the Katrina conference room and the larger Toto’s Bar function room (seats 70) at the very top of the building.
"Casa Leticia is a nice boutique hotel. Good location, a few steps from Apo View Hotel. Everybody, from the guard to the bellboy to the reception staff to the waiters,,, they are all very friendly, courteous and attentive to the guests. Rooms are a bit small. We are 6 in the family and we have to get two superior rooms with extra beds which make the rooms a bit cramped. Rooms are clean, linens are clean, beds and pillows are comfortable. Breakfast is not wow, but is not bad either. We had a very pleasant experience here." - TripAdvisor
"Very pleased with the stay. room was a good size, in relatively good condition for the price and area. service was excellent from staff who did their utmost to help. the tv and wifi worked very well, as did the air con and lighting. free breakfast was likewise very good, a choice of us, european, or filipino options. all we're cooked to a very good standard. the location of the hotel is very convenient, not far from the famous marco polo. and is well served by regular taxis." - Agoda
"The Casa Leticia’s rooms are surprisingly inexpensive, and the food (courtesy of Sagay Restaurant and Tsuru) is extremely satisfying, befitting a town earning a reputation as a Filipino foodie haven." - About.com
