"The ambience of this hotel cannot be denied. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom enormous. For those with narcassitic tendencies, I have never seen so many mirrors. The service was impeccable, from start to finish of our 3 day stay. The breakfast was what you would expect from a 5 star property. A number of great restaurants, expect to pay handsomely for same. The main restaurant was closed for the nights we were there for functions. There is a quaint bakery though, with baguettes etc.The hotel is a little out of the way for street dining but taxis are inexpensive. My only complaint is there is no ATM anywhere within the hotel. The pool is very large and as we had children with us, we used it often. If you are looking for some peaceful relaxation after a hot and busy day I would thoroughly recommend this hotel." Margaret Tierney, Australia
"After a long flight to Bangkok and the experience of Bangkok traffic from the airport, The Sukhothai was a tranquil oasis. The lovely gardens, peaceful ponds, incredible lotus arrangements welcomed us. Although we arrived early in the morning, our room was available - most appreciated! Our room was lovely, overlooking the pool with the most magnificent bathroom. The breakfast buffet is probably the best we've ever experienced. We ate dinner in the restaurant for 2 nights - not an inexpensive option, but beautifully presented. We enjoyed the pool briefly - most relaxing after a long day of enjoying the sights of Bangkok."
